Message-ID: Hi Friends and Neighbors, Outreach to this list has plugged along since 2000 when my frustration drove me to run for Mayor in the City of Pittsburgh. The mayor then was closing swim pools and rec centers and -- go figure -- one of his office workers is mayor now and the city's only indoor swim pool, the Oliver Bath House, has been closed since 2019. Flash to this week's news, candidate for mayor, Corey O'Connor, son of former Mayor Bob O'Connor, one of the loyal opponents in the 2021 campaign, said that the rec centers of today are operating like it is still in the 1970s. Wrong. Today's recreational outlook for the city is way worse than what was being offered back in the day. Cory wants to win the November election and become the next mayor. I've been dreaming and bucking for something much better, a VICTORY for the city. A recreation overhaul would begin with a rebirth of the ATHLETIC REFORM TASK FORCE. We need to gather, talk, vent and plan as coaches, citizens, taxpayers and stewards of our public life. That costs next to nothing -- when volunteers are called to participate. * PLAYING WELL with OTHERS matters to me. * * * On a similar bit of news, it is time to introduce SARAH , an AI Bot for Pittsburgh's South Side. She is just hatching as three founding sponsors are needed for the proper launch. Go to https://CLOH.org * * * As to that "out with a bang" part -- this email list is at its end of life. They pull the plug at the end of the year. -- Ta.
