Yesterday a few of us met with two promising candidates for Stamford Board
of Ed: Matt (Hoegemann) Loter, who ran for the same office in 2003, and
Nina Sherwood. They graduated from Stamford High School in 2000 and 2001,
respectively, and should represent the Green Party well. Still hoping to
find placeholder candidates for our 2 state legislature lines.

To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to CT General Statutes Sec. 9-452a, as Secretary of the Fairfield
County chapter of the CT Green Party, I hereby provide statutory notice of a
Party nominating meeting to be held:
Date: Wednesday, September 6, 2006
Time: 8:30 PM
Location: UConn Stamford Branch (2nd floor lounge), 1 University Place,
Stamford, CT
Purpose: Nominate candidates for public office, including Stamford Board of
Education, State Senate District 36, and State Assembly District 135.
Nominations shall be accepted from the floor. Anyone who meets the
requirements of membership as defined by the bylaws of the CT Green Party,
who resides within Fairfield County and is present at the meeting is
eligible to vote. The nominees must receive support from a simple majority
of those who actually vote. If there is more than one person nominated for
the same office, instant runoff voting will be used and abstentions will not
be counted as votes.
