NOTE:  WE ARE HOLDING OUR JULY CHAPTER MEETING IN HAMDEN TO NOMINATE KELLY
FOR HAMDEN TOWN COUNCIL.

 

Pursuant to CT General Statutes Sec. 9-452a, as Co-Chair of the New Haven
County Green Party, I hereby provide statutory notice of a Green Party
meeting, as the presiding officer of such meeting, to be held:

 

Date: Wednesday, July 25, 2007 

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location: 83 Treadwell Street,  Hamden - SEE BELOW FOR MORE SPECIFIC
DIRECTIONS

Purpose: Nominate Green Party candidate(s) for any municipal office in the
Town of Hamden

 

Nominations shall be accepted from the floor.  Only registered Greens who
are residents of Hamden and are present at the meeting may be nominated.
Only registered Greens who are present at the meeting are eligible to vote.
The nominee must receive support from a simple majority of those who
actually vote.  If there is more than one person nominated, instant runoff
voting will be used and abstentions will not be counted as votes.

Charlie,

 

Great! We should be able to have it at my home, since I don't expect that
more than 15 people in total will attend. Our address is 83 Treadwell St.
(which runs between Dixwell & Whitney; blue house w/ red door). 

 

Limiting voting to registered Greens is fine as well. And I can drop off the
notice with the Town Clerk before Thursday.

Allan & Charlie,

 

It seems that the easiest route for my race would be to hold the nominations
at the regularly scheduled New Haven Greens meeting, as Hamden no longer has
regular meetings and it seems we won't be nominating any other Greens. If
you are still willing and able to host us or move your meeting to Hamden, we
would be grateful. We're happy to host if you think that would be more
appropriate, and if so, please advise how many members you generally expect
on the 25th, so we can ensure to secure an appropriate venue and inform the
Hamden Greens.

And, Allan, I hope your campaign planning is going well!
