Nader declines, but notes the importance
Consumer advocate and three-time presidential candidate Ralph Nader finally responded Thursday to a reporter's calls seeking comment on his nomination by the Winsted Independent Party for selectman.
"It's very kind and thoughtful of them to do that," Nader said. "I am otherwise occupied."
He did say that he commends all candidates seeking local offices, since there are 2.5 million elected seats on local boards and commissions across the country, many of which go uncontested at election time.
