Become a Post-Election Audit Observer

We are planning our biggest audit observation yet, for the Nov Presidential
Election. It is likely that close to fifty towns will be counting three
races across thousands of ballots.
Sign-up is available now at http://www.CTElectionAudit.org
The audit period is short: Wed Nov 19 through Mon Nov 24

Our goal is to cover 90% of the audits with a minimum of two Observers. Your
participation will make this goal a reality. Please sign-up today and
participate in democracy!

To reach our goal of covering 90% of audits with at least two observers will
require more volunteer observers. We have added new observers but need
more! - in total we need about twice as many as we had in August.

Our largest gaps are in the areas of North Western, Northern, and Eastern
Connecticut. We need more observers in those areas and more observers
willing to travel a little further to provide us the flexibility to cover
the entire state.

If you gained from your experience, invite some friends!
If you are committed to voting integrity, invite some friends!
Who might be interested in Litchfield County? The Quiet Corner? near Rhode
Island? or near Massachusetts?

* August Post-Election Audit Report Available
**********************************************
We asked additional and more detailed questions in the August Primary
Post-Election Audit and we were able to provide new information to the
public and election officials.

We found serious, huge gaps in the chain-of-custody and warned of possible
problems with ballot volume in November.

The report is posted at http://www.CTElectionAudit.org

* Principles and Best Practices
* for Post-Election Audits
*************************************
Over the spring and summer we worked with other advocates from across the
country to produce the "Principles and Best Practices for Post-Election
Audits" which have been endorsed, so far, by Verified Voting, Common Cause,
The Brennan Center for Justice, the American Statistical Association, and
several state groups including CTVotersCount.org and TrueVoteCT.org.

These principles will be used to evaluate and improve audit laws.
