I'm told by the League of Women Voters that they will not be hosting a
debate or forum for the First District race. I'd like to step in and help
out. I don't know what other opportunities the candidates have, but I'd
like
to get together with all three at the same time to talk about the issues.
I'd write a column about this and give you all ample opportunity to agree
or
disagree.

Steve and Joe, I'm pretty sure you are game for this. Geoff, you may
remember we spoke briefly about whether any debates were planned some
weeks
back. Would you check with Rep. Larson about this idea and get back to
me?

I'll work with whatever schedule you guys can come up with, but I'd like
to
do this the sooner the better. The Courant won't spring for lunch but
I'll
pay for the coffee.

Please get back to me as soon as possible and tell me if you are
interested
and, if so, possible dates.
