In 2007, Green Party member Allan Brison won a surprise victory over a long
time incumbent Alderman in New Haven by walking his district, Ward 10, (East
Rock and Cedar Hill) twice!

As an independent Voice on the Board of Aldermen, Allan has earned the
respect and affection of many of his colleagues by taking thoughtful
positions on issues and by working hard on constituent service.

Whether working to freeze electric rates, get sound barriers along the
interstate, supporting community policing or scrutinizing the budget, Allan
has proven that a Green can contribute new ideas and work with colleagues
across the political spectrum.

As the lone Green on the Board, he faces a substantial challenge from a
newcomer who is backed by the Mayor and will likely have substantial
funding. The challenger is positioning himself as "green", a strategy that
has been used successfully in other races.

Allan urgently needs donations from around the state if he is to have the
resources he'll need to hold his seat and to show good numbers when the
first financial report comes out.

The maximum contribution is $250.00 and there is a donation form that must
be filled out.

100 donations of $50.00 each would give Allan a fighting chance. Brochures,
lawn signs and door hangers, plus mailings cost money.
