{news} New Elected Green is a "Cemetery District Commisioner" (???)

Dear NC Delegate:

We have a new elected Green in Washington State!

Joe Marino was elected to Cowlitz County Cemetery District Commission.
He joins Tim White, also from Washington State as the only elected 
Green
Cemetery District Commissioners in the country.

He had recently become a 'Card Carrying Green' and had listed on his
application that he was also an elected official. I followed up with a
phone call to him and he confirmed that his primary political
affiliation is the Green Party. (You can not register in Washington
State by Political Party.)

I went to the Cowlitz County Auditor office online and confirmed his
election.

He ran unopposed for Cowlitz County Cemetery District 3, Commissioner 
P1
on November 8, 2005. He received 709 votes for 98.2% and took office in
Dec. of 2005.
