Don't miss the forum about medical marijuana tonight at the Wilton Library.  Cliff Thornton, 2006 Green Party candidate for Governor, will be part of the discussion.  State Rep Toni Boucher of Wilton has been the principal opponent of a state medical marijuana bill.

Hot Topics: Medical Marijuana

Wilton Library and the Wilton League of Women Voters co-sponsor this
panel discussion on the issues surrounding medical marijuana. Speakers
will discuss the recent bill--An Act Concerning the Palliative Use of
Marijuana--passed by the CT legislature but vetoed by Governor Rell.
The bill would have allowed CT residents with certain debilitating
medical conditions to cultivate and use marijuana for palliative
purposes under certain circumstances. Speakers include State
Representative Toni Boucher, State Representative Michael Lawlor, and
Andrea Ruskin, M.D., Norwalk Hospital, and Seyed Aleali, M.D., St.
Vincent's Hospital. A Q&A follows the discussion.
