Kickoff Rally for Abolition Day Campaign at the Capitol, Sept. 24, 5 PM
A coalition of state groups are poised to launch a new campaign with the
goal of abolishing Connecticut's death penalty. The ACLU, AFSC, Connecticut
Catholic Conference, CNADP, NAACP, United Church of Christ, and numerous
other groups have joined together in a coordinated grassroots effort to
educate Connecticut on the realities of capital punishment and mobilize
supporters to end it.  The rally will feature key voices in the abolition
movement among victims' families, law enforcement officials, and religious
leaders. For the event, there will be busing from three locations -
Middletown, New Haven, and Storrs. Please RSVP Today:
