Looks like Jean lost to Ernest Eldridge in the race for Windham Mayor:

I hear it was a pretty close race. Eldridge ran with the Bottom Line
Slate, now an officially registered party in Windham, while Jean ran as
a Petitioning Candidate. (When Jean ran for First Selectperson in 2007,
she was part of the Bottom Line Slate, then an unofficial coalition of
petitioning candidates.) Interesting that Windham still chose a
third-party candidate over the Democrat and Republican.

Windham has four candidates seeking election for mayor, as current First
Selectman Jean de Smet has petitioned to face nominees from the Bottom
Line, Democrat and Republican parties.
More detailed results later.
