India has formally joined the Paris*climate change*agreement,
handing over its country's official ratification documents to the
United Nations on Sunday....The climate change plan was initially
agreed upon by more than 180 countries at the Paris climate
conference in 2015, but under its terms, it will not become binding
until it is ratified by 55 countries that contribute a total of at
least 55 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions....The
55-country requirement has already been fulfilled — India is No. 62
    — but the emissions percentage still falls short.

While some states have begun developing climate and health policies,
65% said they were not aware of any such policies... Australian
health professionals overwhelmingly say they don't know of any
policies that deal with the health implications of*climate change*,
despite the World Health Organisation saying "*climate change*is the
greatest threat to global health in thein the 21st century".
*...*"*Overwhelmingly, the seemingly well-informed group could not
identify many policies at national or state levels specifically
targeting the health effects of climate change,*"* the report said....*

Some scientists say we're in a new geological age where humans are
having an unprecedented impact on Earth. This hour, TED speakers ask
what this means for the future of our planet, and our species.

because a) it kills an ensign at the U.S. naval base there, and b)
it highlights that the administration/party's unwillingness to
officially recognize a climate change crisis means that all of the
fat cats with have sweet, no-bid contracts to work on the bases have
zero incentive to raise those bases in order to keep up with rising
sea levels....Once Elizabeth becomes aware of this situation, she
presses Dalton to do something about it. But he has zero interest in
changing the status quo — and ticking off some of his biggest
donors, who happen to have a few of those no-bid contracts — so he
lays into his potential VP. "What good is bold idealism if it all
but guarantees the loss of a second term?" he angrily asks her. "I’m
talking about doing what's right," she counters. His response? "And
    I'm talking about winning."

Do Christians, others think 'climate change' is manmade?

Just before United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon addressed
the UN General Assembly last week, dubbing so-called "climate
change" as "the defining challenge of our time," the Barna Group
asked Americans what they thought about the controversial topic and
whether they believe man is responsible for the phenomena. Are
Humans Responsible for Global Warming? Barna Research
    <https://www.barna.com/research/humans-responsible-global-warming/#.V-3hJiSfy_4%20>
With climate change being taught and promoted in the schools, media
and entertainment industry as black-letter law, rather than a theory
    – in the same fashion as Darwinian macroevolution – the Barna Group
was not surprised to find that those showing skepticism as to
whether climate change is manmade are far outnumbered by those who
claim human responsibility....asked whether humans caused climate
change and/or global warming, seven in 10 adults say either yes,
absolutely (42 percent), or yes, possibly (29 percent)," Barna
researchers reported. "Skeptics make up around one-fifth of all
Americans, answering either no, probably not (10 percent), or no,
definitely not (11 percent). Another one in 11 are not sure (9
percent)...."[F]ewer than one in five evangelicals (19 percent)
believe humans absolutely caused climate change and/or global
warming -- to compare, this is less than half the national average
    (42 percent),"

*Climate change worsens NE Brazil's drought
<http://climatenewsnetwork.net/climate-change-worsens-ne-brazils-drought/>*

The drought affecting Brazil's huge north-eastern region threatens
to render it completely arid – and scientists say the warming
climate is to blame....But climate scientists now warn that the
droughts are getting worse and could lead to the desertification of
the region, making it impossible to sustain agriculture....The
latest drought, which began in 2012 and has lasted five years, is
the worst for over a century....Without water for animals, crops and
their own consumption, hundreds of thousands of people will have to
leave the rural areas and go to the towns and cities....This
alarming but very possible scenario is almost completely ignored by
politicians, who over the decades have used the droughts to further
    their own careers.
